In the next few days I will get a new set of pictures up for everyone to see. I have most of Dec to work with so there will be plenty to choose from. Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday week. Check in soon for pictures of sledding, gift opening and hopefully much more!

Fall 2009
It's been a while since we posted anything so we have an array of pics. We can't believe that winter is upon us so we wanted to take a look at how much fun we have had this fall. Enjoy.

Trick or Treat
Halloween 2009 was great. Buzz Lightyear was the costume of choice this year and we made it around the neighborhood, visited Grandma in the hospital and spent time with the Berggren family. Both kids were afraid of all the scary ghosts, clowns and pretty much anything with a mask, but candy wiped away all the fear. How much fun is it to be a kid, I wouldn't trade these days for anything.
Excited?
3, 2, 1, blast off
to infinity and beyond

its go time
buzz wanted to eat his first treat, can you blame him

One week later
After a week of flu like symptoms and a stubborn 3 yr old that won't take medicine, we were back at the pediatricians office. Now Parker has pink eye and what we call a sinus infection, we didn't test since the antibiotics are similar. Parker hates the medicine so it might be a long week and the boys are home for the second day in a row, not so much fun. Here is a few pics from the last week...its sad that our first pumpkin of the year was an ice cream cake but it fits our family! This week has been interesting, Parker shaved for the first time, kissed his best friend Madisyn (it lasted about 5 seconds and we all witnessed it), he baked cookies, ate cake and carved a pumpkin.
the first belly shave...he must be mine
he is super focused and loving every minute
first real pumpkin (he gaged when we cleaned it out, seriously)
mom and parker baked cookies, let's just say they were not from scratch

Down and out
It has been a tough 72 hours at the Mellenthin home. Penny was sent home with a fever on Wednesday afternoon, Parker started with a small cough about a week ago and that has morphed into high fevers including the rest of the not so fun flu symptoms. So far I have avoided everything except exhaustion, we plan to relax and get healthy over the next 2 days. Hope everyone else is doing better than us!

Seasons are changing
Today we accepted the fact the summer is gone and with that our Sunday Fun-day S'mores making with the Berggrens is done for the year. We mastered the traditional S'more and experimented with the Reese's peanut butter cup S'more. Our next adventure is a random recipe one night a week and if all else fails we are ordering pizza. The summer was our best in years thanks to Parker and Madisyn becoming buddies earlier this summer. More summer pictures coming soon.

Summer Nights
Tonight was a perfect summer night in Wisconsin. After school we decided to take the family out on the Mastercraft and the first one in the water was Parker Ethan Mellenthin. Parker went for a ride on the kneeboard (with a little help from dad) and then Uncle Mark hit the waves on the wakeboard. And of course we had ice cream for a snack when we got home...it was a good night for all of us! Mom and Parker are already dreaming about butterflies, flowers and ice cream treats, imagine that.
