Cellcom Weekend

Green Bay Cellcom Marathon Weekend

Last Sunday a group of us hit the roads near Lambeau field for the 13th annual Cellcom Marathon.  Five of us decided to run the half marathon this year.  Penny was running her second 1/2 and this year she was pacing for Patty and Kristen.  It was the first half for both of them.  Mark has completed a hand full of 1/2s in the last 5 years and it was my 3rd overall.  The temps proved to be a challenge starting at 70 by 7AM and setting a record high for the day at 90.  The officials closed the course after 2 hours and 35 minutes b/c the medical resources were tapped out.  Everyone in our group finished safely.  Although we are super sore today we will all probably sign up for another race.....

Quote of the Week

After spending literally all day outside Saturday (9:30AM-8PM) Parker was asked if he was going to play outside Sunday when he got home from his sleepover at the Zuelke house to which he replied:

"One fact you don't know about me, I don't like to play outside"

Looks like he isn't having any fun

Spring time 2012

After our super warm March it cooled off in April.  I say cooled off but really it just got back to normal.  Now that we are almost half way through May, we have the urge to work on the yard so it doesn't look like squatters live here.  There is so much to do at the house and so many things we want to get right away but we know it takes time to put it all together.

Time, what's that.  Its has been busy for us.  Since our last post, Penny is back to work so we are figuring out our morning schedules, Parker started soccer and we decided to start working on the yard.  We also had Grandma Dawn's birthday, Mother's Day and Dad's birthday...all last week.  Parker picked out my gift this year, Q-BA-MAZE 2.0.  Pretty sweet since he got some for his birthday, the collections is growing quickly.  Mom wanted to sleep in for Mother's Day.  It actually worked out b/c Parker slept over at the Zuelke's and Crosby went to Pulaski with Dad to drop off the trailer and tiller.  Mom was able to sleep in until almost 8.  For us, anything after 6:15 is sleeping in.  Weekly updates would be so much easier, I try to get back on track.

Until then, lots of pictures!

He only pushed backward on the pedals....

making it a long, slow ride down to Dad

Parker wanted to make cup cakes,
I think this is the only reason why

He earned it by doing well in school,
he was pretty proud of helping until...

Busted, spilled like mom....
Come on, you know you cleaned
up like this as a kid

Cupcakes done.  Take a closer look,
sprinkles weren't enough I guess.

So we added marshmallows!

Happy birthday Dad, 34 years old
and reminded of it every day.  Parker
told me it was my 2nd day being 34 on Friday.
