Door County

Making awesome Mellenthin memories at Whitefish Dune State Park in Door County.

The boys had no idea what we meant when
we said we were going rock climbing today.
(Clearly this wasn't what we meant.)

Talking about going swimming to check out what is below them
Amazing view from these seats

Even mom got out on the ledge
So Ama-ZEN
Kind of want this in my backyard (all of it)

We weren't expecting all of these on the other side of the rock wall (More Ama-ZEN)
The boys found the perfect hiding spot

He didn't sit still very long so I am surprised we captured this beauty
Looking down at mama after a climb (Sweet view - like looking up to heaven)

Crosby made up a song about exploring on the trails (and kept singing it over, and  over)
Thank you stranger for capturing Team Mellenthin on this gorgeous September day
And the shirts are off (toes are going into the water)
The "Hot" spot

Abandoned anchor from a shipwreck in the 1800's
We found a beach!!!!!

Pretending to be a bird with 2 feathers

And even brought some of the beach home with us :)

More climbing after a quick bite to eat on the rocks
Parker showing mama how to climb quickly
The more graceful side of Penny
Crosby and Pen exploring
Parker scaling across a steep rock wall
These two would still be out there if they could be
This is awesome
Watch this dad.  (He thinks he is ready for the mountains)
Posing for senior pictures 10 yrs to early
Mama couldn't watch him climb over to this incredible spot
but Parker was so pumped to check it out on his own

Crosby found Parker from up above (a much easier way to get to the same spot)

Trail running together again
Best day ever
Sweet dreams Crosby
